German people in unprecedented rebellion against government: 1000 injured in protests in nuclear protests: police at breaking point

By Jane Burgermeister

Like the Roman legions vanquished in the Teutoburger Wald in Lower Saxony in 9 AD, the 17,000 police officers that marched into the woods around the nuclear storage facility in Gorleben in northern Germany on Sunday morning looked invincible. Police personnel from France, Croatia and Poland had joined in the biggest security operation ever mounted against protestors against the a train carrying nuclear waste to an depot in an isolated part of Lower Saxony’s countryside. Helicopters, water canons and police vehicles, including an armoured surveillance truck, accompanied an endless column of anti-riot police mounted on horses and also marching down the railway tracks into the dense woods. Tens of thousands of anti riot police clattered along the tracks, their helmets and visors gleaming in the morning sun, and wearing body armour, leg guards and carrying batons.

But by Sunday night, those same police officers were begging the protestors for a respite.

Trapped in black, icy woods without supplies or reinforcements able to reach them because of blockades by a mobile fleet of farmer’s tractors, the exhausted and hungry police officers requested negotiations with the protestors. A water cannon truck was blocked by tractors, and yet the police still had to clear 5000 people lying on the railway track at Harlingen in pitch darkness. The largest ever police operation had descended into chaos and confusion in the autumn woods of Lower Saxony, defeated by the courage and determination of peaceful protestors who marched for miles through woods to find places to lie down on the tracks and to scoop out gravel to delay the progress of the “the train from hell.” READ MORE…

How Corporations Own the US Congress

How Corporations Own the US Congress

http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=21052

by Shamus Cooke

With the November elections quickly approaching, the majority of Americans will be thinking one thing: “Who cares?” This apathy isn’t due to ignorance, as some accuse. Rather, working people’s disinterest in the two party system implies intelligence: millions of people understand that both the Democrats and Republicans will not represent their interests in Congress.

This begs the question: Whom does the two party system work for? The answer was recently given by the mainstream The New York Times, who gave the nation an insiders peek on how corporations “lobby” (buy) congressmen. The article explains how giant corporations — from Wall-mart to weapons manufacturers — are planning on shifting their hiring practices for lobbyists, from Democratic to Republican ex-congressmen in preparation for the Republicans gaining seats in the upcoming November elections: Continue reading

How the US Government Created the ‘Drug Problem’ in the USA

by Michael E. Kreca

Source: Lew Rockwell

“The bottom line on this whole business has not yet been written.”

(Dr. Sidney Gottlieb CIA Technical Services Staff director for the MK-ULTRA program)

Eighteenth-century German philosopher Georg Friedrich Hegel long ago developed, among other things, what he called the principle of “thesis, antithesis, synthesis” to explain the process of deliberately enacted social disorder and change as a road to power. To achieve a desired result, one deliberately creates a situation (“thesis”), devises a “solution,” to solve the “problems” created by that situation (“antithesis”), with the final result being the ultimate goal of more power and control (“synthesis”). It is unsurprising Karl Marx and his disciples like Lenin and Trotsky, as well as the US government in its so-called War On Drugs, made this process a keystone of their drive for total control of all individual actions that, in their views, were not, in Mussolini’s terms, “inside the state” and thus controllable by the same. The Southern Poverty Law Center: State sponsored domestic terrorism

Marti Oakley (c)copyright 2010 All Rights Reserved

” In my opinion, SPLC represents state sponsored domestic terrorism.  Hopefully this organization will self implode, possibly crushed by the weight of its own self induced paranoia or the result of finding itself on one of its own lists.”

___________________________________________

One of the most reviled organizations to come to the forefront in recent years is the Southern Poverty Law (Lie) Center.  Whatever this organization was originally intended to be, it has since morphed into a generator of fabricated “facts” which seldom bear any resemblance to the truth.  But the pay is really good and right now they are on the short list of White House and Homeland Security “favs”.

The reviving of McCarthyism via the SPLC, is unnerving to many of us of a certain age.  We remember the red-baiting, the commie scares, the malicious maligning of individuals that resulted during the reign of McCarthy.  At that time every one was afraid to speak about anything for fear of reprisal from the McCarthy-ites; a reprisal that could see you jailed, personally ruined, out of work; The effects would last long after McCarthy was dethroned as the #1 Commie hunter in the government. Many people never recovered socially, professionally or emotionally from being targeted and hunted by McCarthy and his henchmen. And Potok like McCarthy had nothing to evidence his accusations other than his own self induced paranoia. Potok seems to want to emulate McCarthy. ICLEI: Invasive UN Treaty in 600 American Cities

By Cassandra Anderson
August 9, 2010

MORPHcity

There are over 600 US cities that are members of ICLEI, the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives, now known as Local Governments for Sustainability. ICLEI institutes the UN Convention on Biological Diversity treaty that was withdrawn from a vote on the Senate floor in 1994, so the treaty, designed for UN control, is being implemented in cities.

Here’s the description of the program from ICLEI’s own website:

International Goals

Our programs, and projects promote participatory, long-term, strategic planning process that address local sustainability while protecting global common goods. This approach links local action to internationally agreed-upon goals and targets such as:

Agenda 21
The Rio Conventions:
UN Framework Convention on Climate Change
UN Convention on Biological Diversity

ICLEI has many carbon reduction schemes that seem harmless, but ICLEI uses small steps to accomplish its goals. Last week Colorado Gubernatorial candidate Dan Maes warned that ICLEI is a UN plot for control at a rally in Denver, which is an ICLEI city. It made international headlines and some people scoffed because Maes used the bicycling program as an example. ICLEI does have programs to limit transportation. Maes’ opponent in the Governor’s race is John Hickenlooper, the Mayor of Denver and he is a ‘Cool Mayor‘, which is a facet of an ICLEI program used to execute CO2 reduction. Hickenlooper is a supporter of CO2 reduction. CO2 reduction encourages depopulation.  Continue reading

U.S. Presidents and the Royal Bloodline

By Barbara H. Peterson

It seems that all U.S. presidents except for one, share the same bloodline.

King Plantagenet 1167 – 1216, known as John of England

Some of his attributes and accomplishments:

Lack of prowess in battle

Penchant for treachery

Ruthlessness

Heavy taxation

The first income tax

Confiscation of all church possessions

Lecherous behavior

Signing of the Magna Carta under duress, which he tried to break by starting a war

Summary

King John’s reign has traditionally been characterised as one of the most disastrous in English history, earning him the nickname “Bad King John”: it began with military defeats – he lost Normandy to Philip Augustus of France in his first five years on the throne – and ended with England torn by civil war and himself on the verge of being forced out of power. In 1213, he made England a papal fief to resolve a conflict with the Catholic Church, and his rebellious barons forced him to seal Magna Carta in 1215, the act for which he is best remembered.
