Murray Hill Incorporated is Running for Congress

For the best democracy money can buy!

Until now, corporations only influenced politics with high-paid lobbyists and backroom deals. But today, thanks to an enlightened supreme court, corporations now have all the rights the founding fathers meant for us. That’s why Murray Hill Incorporated is taking democracy’s next step– running for Congress.

The Century of the Self Pt 4

Final of a four-part series on the manipulation of the public through a planned media campaign.

The “Elections” Distraction

Daffy for President  Focus, America! Do not lose track of the goal. The goal is to expose the elite traitors in our “elected” government for the terrorists that they are and to drag the bums out of office, not to dive headfirst into an elections game that only serves to keep we the people distracted while the thugs in office use our Constitution for toilet paper.

We debate endlessly over contrived speeches made by professional liars that rely on opinion polls to determine just what the public wants to hear, then draft lies as truth and spew the vomit out like it is gold. They lie like crazy to appease voters and ride the crest of public opinion to accomplish what? To successfully manipulate the public one more time to advance a preset hidden agenda that no one will challenge. Why? Because the same power-base of elitists have all the money, and have been getting their way for hundreds of years. The candidates are puppets. They do what they are allowed to do. They are actors playing a part. Even if one or two of them appears to be honest and truthful, just how long will that honesty and truthfulness last in the face of the corporatist structure?

Would I like to see someone get elected that represents the people, makes good on his/her promises, and tells the corporatist leaches that are sucking the world dry to take a hike? Sure, I would. Do I think that a person like that has a rat’s hind end chance of succeeding in our present system? No. Maybe if we the people start ignoring this charade of elitist-controlled elections and come together as a shadow government comprised of Americans who give a rat’s hind end about Americans, we might make a dent in the elite corporate structure. I don’t know. Is it possible? Maybe.

The Banker’s Manifesto is a document that changed the way I think forever:

The Bankers Manifesto of 1892

Revealed by US Congressman Charles A. Lindbergh, SR from Minnesota before the US Congress sometime during his term of office between the years of 1907 and 1917 to warn the citizens.

“We (the bankers) must proceed with caution and guard every move made, for the lower order of people are already showing signs of restless commotion. Prudence will therefore show a policy of apparently yielding to the popular will until our plans are so far consummated that we can declare our designs without fear of any organized resistance.

The Farmers Alliance and Knights of Labor organizations in the United States should be carefully watched by our trusted men, and we must take immediate steps to control these organizations in our interest or disrupt them.

At the coming Omaha Convention to be held July 4th (1892), our men must attend and direct its movement, or else there will be set on foot such antagonism to our designs as may require force to overcome. This at the present time would be premature. We are not yet ready for such a crisis. Capital must protect itself in every possible manner through combination (conspiracy) and legislation.

The courts must be called to our aid, debts must be collected, bonds and mortgages foreclosed as rapidly as possible.

When through the process of the law, the common people have lost their homes, they will be more tractable and easily governed through the influence of the strong arm of the government applied to a central power of imperial wealth under the control of the leading financiers. People without homes will not quarrel with their leaders.

History repeats itself in regular cycles. This truth is well known among our principal men who are engaged in forming an imperialism of the world. While they are doing this, the people must be kept in a state of political antagonism.

The question of tariff reform must be urged through the organization known as the Democratic Party, and the question of protection with the reciprocity must be forced to view through the Republican Party.

By thus dividing voters, we can get them to expand their energies in fighting over questions of no importance to us, except as teachers to the common herd. Thus, by discrete action, we can secure all that has been so generously planned and successfully accomplished.”

This document has not become obsolete over time. This is a declaration of war on the American people by the elite bankers of the time, which is playing out today. If you don’t believe me, look at the current housing crisis, our two-party system, and America’s quest for imperialism. How much clearer does this have to be?

Wasting time playing the “elections” game by focusing on who is the better manipulator, and running to the elections booths to cast our vote for the lesser of the evils, only to accept in the back of our minds that promises made by professional politicians are not meant to be kept, is futile. Might a better use of our time be to find out just what the power elites are doing behind our backs while we are engrossed with the “elections” distraction, or to learn what we can do personally about making a difference in our world?

It is time to shed the blinders and realize that the political system is not broken. It is functioning just the way the thugs that we the people have allowed to come to power over us want it to, and the worst part of all is that we have let it happen. Maybe it was inevitable, I don’t know. What I do know is that the future is going to be very different for a lot of people who thought they were set for life with their middle class pensions, health care, and sub prime mortgages, no matter what puppet is “in charge” at the Whitehouse. This is the way our economic state of affairs has been “so generously planned and successfully accomplished” (Banker’s Manifesto, 1892).

It is time to spend our time wisely by planning an alternate lifestyle. We need to become more independent by growing our own vegetables, possibly raising some of our own meat, making our own soap, and weaning ourselves from going to the grocery store every other day. We need to take back this nation one person at a time. By becoming more self-sufficient, we not only become healthier and stronger, but also, as icing on the cake, stick it to the corporatists. This is not an armed rebellion, but an economic one. After all, that is how the government is hitting us, with economic WMDs. We can be effective as a people by withdrawing from the game. If we the people refuse to purchase from corporations what we can make for ourselves, we can change our lives for the better, and reduce corporate profits. If a person does not make enough money to cover going to the grocery store for tomatoes, then that person either does not eat tomatoes or learns to grow them him/herself. It is that simple. We have to re-learn what we can do for ourselves, and make the break from the corporate teat. Refusing to waste precious time buying into the “elections” distraction is a good start towards not only personal independence, but national as well.

A nation is comprised of individuals, and as individuals, we need to act. If we don’t, then I suppose we can just sit back in our lounge chairs enjoying the parade of candidates, then act surprised when we can no longer afford the six-pack of beer to accompany our popcorn. The choice is ours. As Morpheus said in the Matrix: “This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill – the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill – you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes.” Eyes open, or slammed shut, enjoying the ride until it ends and you are flushed down the drain. Some choice, eh? I think I’ll start growing some tomatoes. By the way, the red pill tastes just fine, but is a bit difficult to swallow.

Truth, Lies, and the American Way

goosestepping.jpg  The media has always been used as a propaganda tool, and the government has always spread propaganda. Now that the multinational corporations control the government, the propaganda machine has gotten increasingly sophisticated, and we the people are its cannon fodder.

Our corporate government controls the mass media, and the mass media controls what we see and hear on television, radio, and traditional newspapers. We are spoon-fed fantasies, and the more we swallow the propaganda, the easier we are to manipulate. These fantasies are created using logical fallacies.

Logical fallacies are abundant in the media, business and government. In fact, businesses use popular logical fallacies to launch entire ad campaigns. Cars are sold, politicians get elected, and businesses thrive on the use of logical fallacies. The bought and paid-for corporate media machine knows how to create ad campaigns designed to manipulate its audience into thinking and believing that a new Mercury Cougar will make up for one’s lack of sex appeal because owning a shiny new Cougar is all that any girl wants in a man. We are also told that WTC Building 7, which was not hit by a plane, somehow demolished itself and fell to the ground at free-fall speed in its own footprint, and that the air was safe to breath after three buildings were blown apart, and dust as thick as an erupting volcano filled the air. This is rubbish, but it works! People believe it because the government and corporate media mix truth with lies, and portray the end product as the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. We believe this drivel because believing that our own government leaders are so despicably evil as to cover up the truth behind their campaign for world domination via the “One World Order” is too much of a leap from media-induced fantasy to reality to bear. “The truth? You can’t handle the truth!” (A Few Good Men, 1992).

Unless we understand what is happening, and choose to explore the facts even if what those in authority are saying is contrary to those facts, we will remain in a fog, going about our business in a complete state of suspended animation, never even challenging the status quo. In other words, the bad guys get their way and we drive our brand new Tahoes until they tell us we can’t. By recognizing the logical fallacies that are being used against us and understanding how they affect our thinking, we can understand the manipulation behind them and start to think independently. Dr. Labossiere (1995), the author of Fallacy Tutorial Pro 3.0 has this to say:

In order to understand what a fallacy is, one must understand what an argument is. Very briefly, an argument consists of one or more premises and one conclusion. A premise is a statement (a sentence that is either true or false) that is offered in support of the claim being made, which is the conclusion (which is also a sentence that is either true or false). …….A fallacy is, very generally, an error in reasoning. This differs from a factual error, which is simply being wrong about the facts. To be more specific, a fallacy is an “argument” in which the premises given for the conclusion do not provide the needed degree of support. (para.2)

Does this sound familiar? How many “facts” are we fed each day by the corporate media that fail even the most rudimentary inspection?

Logical Fallacies are broken down into two categories. These categories are fallacies of relevance and fallacies of insufficient evidence. It states in Critical Thinking (2002), “A fallacy of relevance occurs when an arguer offers reasons that are logically irrelevant to his or her conclusion” (ch.5 p.143 para.1). Chapter six of the same text goes on to define fallacies of insufficient evidence as “fallacies in which the premises, though relevant to the conclusion, fail to provide sufficient evidence for the conclusion” (ch.6 p.162 para.1).

The collapse of Building 7 falls into the “fallacies of insufficient evidence” category. The announcement of “the air is safe to breath” seems to fall into the “fallacy of relevance” category simply because there was no evidence that the air was safe to breath at all. How can one make a judgment without the facts? Without facts, how can the conclusion be at all relevant to them? So, people breathed the crud because they were told it was safe to do so without a mask, and those same people are dying of cancer. Score one for the government and its lapdog media, zero for the people at ground zero.

Now I shouldn’t be so hard on the government or the media. After all, they are just doing what they are told to do by their corporate owners. Isn’t that what they are here for? We are systematically being molded into a people of the corporations, by the corporations, and for the corporations by a mass media campaign consisting of truths, half-truths, and outright lies.

Fallacies are the building blocks of emotional persuasion. They are abundant in everyday life and used to influence behavior. Understanding these fallacies and the influence they have is the key to independent thought. One can choose to drift with every passing fallacy and succumb to its influence, or rise up, gain understanding, and break through the barrier of ignorance. Critical thinking and independent thought are the best tools one can use for breaking through this barrier. Hirsch (n.d.) defines critical thinking skills as this: “…an ability to analyze ideas and solve problems while taking a sufficiently independent, ‘critical’ stance toward authority to think things out for one’s self” (para.7). Reporters are supposed to do just that unless they become the talking heads of the corporate media machine. Then it’s a goose-step to the party line to keep one’s job.

Think clearly, analyze, and know what it is you are being asked to believe! It is painfully obvious that the mass media will not do this, so we need to dig for the truth even if what we discover flies in the face of the media barrage, and reveal it to as many people as we can. This is how to fight the planned ignorance program we are being force-fed every day. It is either that, or continue being cannon fodder for the corporations whose only deity is money, and whose loyalties lie wherever there is a profit to be made.
